Blue and Gold Banquet -- February 2016

Pack 200 Cub Scouts and their families had a great time at the 2016 Blue & Gold Banquet. The theme was The Great Outdoors and everyone enjoyed a family photo op, the Arrow of Lights ceremony, entertainment by Bonaparte the magician, and tasty food including a s'mores station.

Pinewood Derby Medfield Race -- January 2016

Pack 200 Scouts joined the rank of millions of cubs scouts by building their own cars and competing in the 2016 Pinewood Derby, an event that started in 1953! At the heart of this event's success is the process itself -- bonds are strengthened as the Cub Scout partners with a parent to design, carve, paint, weigh, refine, and race the car. In addition, Cub Scouts build confidence and take pride in their own growing skills and hard work.

Pack 200 Scouts who sold the most popcorn in our recent annual fundraiser had the fun of throwing a whipped cream pie in the face of volunteer leaders.  Lots and lots of laughs!

Providence Bruins - Mar. 15, 2015

Scouts met at the Dunkin Donuts Center in Providence RI and watched the P Bruins triumph over the Norfolk Admirals in a 4-1 blowout.   What's more, for this game the Providence Bruins will be donating a $1 from every ticket sold back to our local council to benefit Friends of Scouting.  Good times!

Blue and Gold Banquet - Feb. 28, 2015

This is one of the biggest events of the year for Pack 200.  Scouts got together and celebrated the Arrow of Light ceremony for the Webelo II scouts.  All scouts enjoyed pizza and some fun entertainment by Jenny the Juggler!

Pinewood Derby - Jan. 24, 2015

What a blast!  The cars in each scout level (i.e. Tiger, Wolf, Bear, Webelo I, Webelo II) were raced together, with the speed winners in each den facing the winners from other packs in the council.  Pack 200 awarded trophies for the First, Second, and Third place finishers in the speed contest, as well as awards for Most Creative, Best Design, and Best Cub Scout Spirit.  Trophies were awarded for each Cub Scout level.  But the real prize that each Scout won is priceless -- creative fun, time spend with Mom and/or Dad building a car, edge-of-your-seat thrills, and memories that may last a lifetime.

Scouts at the Medfield Animal Shelter

Pack 200 Scouts recently learned about protecting animals and delivered supplies to help the Medfield Animal Shelter.

Battleship Sleepover - Nov. 15, 2014

When is the last time that *YOU* slept in a sailor's bunk on a real U.S. Navy battleship?  Our scouts had a blast exploring this incredible historical treasure.  From checking out the machinery in the engine room to climbing the gun turrets on the topside, the USS Massachusetts at Battleship Cove was a great setting for a scout sleepover!

Rocket Day - Nov. 1, 2014

Who doesn't love building their own model rocket and shooting up to the sky?    Pack 200 joined Scouts from around the region on a beautiful, clear Saturday morning and fired our rockets.   What a blast!

Popcorn Sales Completed on Oct. 31

The sale of delicious Trail's End popcorn is the primary annual fundraising activity of Pack 200, and it helps to fund Pack activities throughout the year.   Cub Scouts in Pack 200 had a successful year in selling their tasty treats to the community.

Thanks to all of the Scouts, parents, and members of the community who supported this effort!

Campout at Hale Reservation - Sept. 27-28, 2014

Pack 200 enjoyed a night of camping under the stars at beautiful Hale Reservation in Westwood, MA.  After pitching our tents and getting settled in, Scouts enjoyed a dinner of hamburgers and hot dogs cooked on the grill.  After dinner, the Pack engaged in a solemn and respectful flag retirement ceremony while gathered around the campfire.  After the flag ceremony, it was time for -- what else? -- tasty s'mores and doughboys cooked by the Scouts around the campfire!

Pawtucket Red Sox Campout - June 2014

When is the last time you camped out in center field at a professional baseball stadium?  In June 2014, Scouts enjoyed a tailgate party/cookout in the parking lot before the game began.  We watched the Pawtucket Red Sox play a double header.  Afterwards, we pitched our tents in the outfield.  The weather was perfect - what a night!

Pack 200 Marched in 2014 Memorial Day Parade

Pack 200 was proud to march in the Medfield Memorial Day parade on May 26, 2013.  The parade began near Town Hall and made stops for ceremonies at Baxter Park, Vine Lake Cemetery, and the American Legion Beckwith Post # 110.  Lunch was served at the Legion Post for all parade participants.

Cub Scouts showed their civic pride (and got a little exercise, too!) by marching on a beautiful, warm sunny day to honor those who sacrificed for our country.

Pack 200 Scouts watch Red Sox play at Fenway Park!
